I hate the grey – but I can understand where she is coming from – that room was horrible – so spartan and boring and no other colour but Purple – sheeesh – no one, not even a boy has a room so devoid of any posters, furniture, books toys, DVDs a TV or anything else. I am wondering if Tolka is deliberately using a limited palette of colours – is this why things sort of lack contrast and have that washed out feel?

This is really good. I mean honestly. I was looking through the archives. It is the New world characters and story I love, but your style has improved so much.
Case in point: The partial paint, I have painted a good bit in my time(mother as an interior designer means the family often tackled such tasks personally) and you really capture how iot looks when th paint is being applied with insuffiocent amount on the instrument.
Also the little toucheslike the paint the subject got on her left leg!
The expression and posture reminds me of the kud caught in the act. Which it is! Though I doubt any parenting books cover this particular scenario.
As for the father and the past reperception, him observing the moon so often and especially the eclipse probably does give Selena that much extra oomph in hypnotizing him. In fact it even fits with why the name Luna would have been picked sibce he is an astronomer.
As for his comment, not drugs. Luna is simply crazy at the moment, must a full moon out kahahaha *is struck by the pun hammer with righteous vengance*
Well Luna’s gift of not needing to sleep will probably lead to more problems at home. That is unless the dad always comes home at 6am. But I mean think about it. If you can’t sleep, well your light would either be on all night as you do things in your room, or you wouldn’t be at home. So it could seem that luna is sneaking out a lot and becoming a troublesome child. And btw, we know the dad checks up on his little girl, twice already.

After midnight it is never late, it is just very very early in the day. Now, the questions is what would be the best top coat for the wall? Lavender, or a soft green maybe.

I’m guessing they did, in fact, happen to have the paint. Look at the earlier panels, where he’s outside her room. He’s not going “Hey, someone painted these walls!”, but those walls are the same color. Maybe they had extra paint left over that Luna is using now.

I do try an keep the background simple vs the character’s color pallets. honestly I just got tired of the purple hell.
