Speaking of a lack of proper commentary, I would like to point out that while the total $ counter has been increasing steadily, the $ counts for the contest between Spiderwebs and New World have stayed the same for I don’t know how long. Either people are just throwing money at this or someone (<–should be in italics) is being a little slow updating some numbers.
actually, the reason for that is simple. the total, includes money from commissions, and some other sources. plus some people have donated without specifying which side to put the money.
So our favorite alcoholic beverage makes an appearance. Beware man, Spooks is likely more potent than she seems, and she did not look weak to start with!
So most of the manual is redundant? The dryads must hate Selena for so flagrantly wasting paper.
As for Helios I am supporting that is the sun spirit, and the lad with the hair from Hell is a “son of Helios”.
So the chanling sleeps during the day? Or is only that Luna gets tired during the day without the moon to recharge?
The ending note was a nice touch, “Stay safe.” It indicates Selena does care to some degree about her daughters. Though being a feyesque spirit I imagine se is hardly maternal and more of the big sister type in messing with them more often than helping.
Can’t sleep? draw read a webcomic… like New Worlds (was that the title?) and accidentally bring the characters to life with magic….so that would be like a level above a level above a level of reality.
Perhaps that is your continngency plan if you do not get the 800?
On the actual art, I really like the changing in the final frame. You really convey the calm puzzlement in finally getting some answers but recieving an even greater load of questions in exchange.
Hmm, wonder how the whole nonhuman matter works out witr the father? Does he know and think she has always been, or does he bbeleive his daughter to be just an oddly featured human?
Selena has some control over animals, which may include humans such as the father. That is probably why he believes that Luna has always been a girl. As for being an oddly featured human, the most obvious thing would be the ears. But spooks has pointed ears of sorts too. Maybe she uses some sort of illusion to make people not notice them, which in turn could be what is making them feel spooked. Luna had her hair cut and the lady didn’t notice her pointy ears. perhaps, Selena was in the room to help, help out.
A glamor, as it is called here, is a form of illusion. In this case, an illusion cast over memories. As with most illusions, if you doubt it, you can see through it.
Selena being the spirit of the moon, and moonlight often being associated with illusions, the connection is obvious. No control over humans needed here.
We all now know the name of the guy with the Yu-gi-ho hair now. At lest that’s what I think Sleana’s talkin’ about.

“You’re” – contraction of “You are”, as in “You’re not human now.” (“You are not human now.”)
“Your” – possessive pronoun, used correctly in “Your magic”.
If pronouns mess thee up, thou should switch to the olde speake. No one will know whether thou useth them incorrectly or not.
