It seems that Tix’s truth is harder to believe than her lie.
Yeah… But that’s not hard with what we know about the character. The airplane story could just be as true as the ‘real’ story. But we’ll never know unless we get a personal Tix’s mental monolog to us the readers.
Whoops, for a second there, I though it read “everyone else on the planet.” That certainly changes things.
In any case, both stories include Windy, so the second story does seem more likely (to me at least).
Or Windy may be a product of Tix’s madness. Just because m,agic is real does not prove Ogopogo and thr like. She could be a witch and crazy talking about a wind elemental nesting in her lung.
The second version of Tix’ story is very likely. I have a Windy, living in my body as well and it gives me the magic power of making the air stink. :p
Windy could be something like a symbiont. And living in her lung could be that it can’t live outside of a host and gives that host abilities and powers in exchange for it’s ability to live.
Hmm…. I think its more like Tix has to twist the truth. Its part of her new fairie nature where she can’t tell the whole truth or if she does she has to twist it in some way. Just a guess. I think Pookas have that problem but not sure. We’ll have to ask the bunny. O.o
maybe Tix is fully magical or half of something else.
As for truthiness, It has been my experience that it is like magic. No one believes it so everyone tells the truth to the extent that everything is true, but you have to figure out what part of everything is true… wait I’m still not explaining it right. For every lie you have to tell five truths or more to maintain credibility.
For instance, I legitimately have a webcomic with 437 pages.(and growing) However, if I were to say it was the best comic in the universe I would be lying. On the other hand, if I were to say I am creating the greatest comic in the universe it would be true, and no one could argue with me until the day I die… therefore truth lies in not what you say, but how you say it.
To gabrielsthoughts:That actually makes alot of sence, and the scary thing is I understood all that, So what if that part of the plane wasn’t a lie so much as an exzgeration of something that did happen to Tix and Wendy was invloved, and what she said about knowing Wendy since she could remember and then about the lung, could also be a half truth.
But then Magic might have to deal with a person who no matter how much wants to not believe in magic, they can’t ignore it. They are forced to see it and forced to interact with magic everyday wither they like it or not.
The second version makes a lot of sense. If you remember back when it appeared that Tix used gust of wind when luke got busted listening in on the girls at the bathroom, and she said it was Windy. So probably windy lives inside of tix, being a sorta astral being. I don’t know if that is what a wind sprite does, or if Windy was an injured wind sprite and went into tix to slowly recover (years?) after battle. Or Wind sprites could be very vulnarable and it is like a crab going into a shell. Also the prolonged contact has effected Tix’s hair and personality.
I wonder if she has pointy ears hidden under there.
The fact that Tix’s hair is colored, while the other two girls’ hair isn’t, means that Windy has either been with Tix much longer than the other two girls have known their spirits, or Windy is much more deeply connected to Tix. (Or both.)
Maybe Tix was injured while Windy was trying to repair the plane and the only way to save Tix was to merge into her (move into her lung). That would actually make both stories technically true.
LockeZ you are assuming a bit too much. Spooks has pointed ears, and her hair would be completely consistent with a fire sprites
I’m not assuming anything. It was Spooks who pointed out that Tix has taken on more of her spirit’s features than any of the rest of them, and explained why that happens. See: http://www.tfsnewworld.com/2009/06/08/62/
Er, it was Sara, rather.
LockeZ: You reading more into it than there is. Sara just says, look at Tix, in a scene where there is no Spooks present. How does that turn into Tix having taken on more of her sprites features than the other two, or more specifically spooks. Spooks has pointed ears, and we do not know if she was originally a redhead. the possibility still exist that spooks has taken on more of her spirit features than the others. I’m not saying she has, just pointing out that you are assuming.
Does Spooks even have pointy ears? I thought the tops of her ears were just being covered by her hair.
