as for adult-oriented… nudity is, in general, fine. if it goes further then that there are limits to what I’m willing to do.
basically any risque image commissions I would recommend running past me first.
(laughs maniacally) I’d much rather you draw my webcomic for me for five dollars per page, rather than of me paying you five dollars for a commission I wouldn’t get as much enjoyment out of… no offense I’m just teasing you. Although to be fair we’re about the same level artistically. Not that I don’t find others artwork appealing, I still think of my versions/visions of my characters are the best. Of course, rather than $5 we could do an art exchange. I’d draw first of course. Granted, you wouldn’t be able to buy anything with it an I wouldn’t authorize resale. Oh, and I don’t do XXX rated work.

Maybe you should put the Commission work you completed in a gallery page where you can sell it. That way you can make a little more off each commission.

the size is usually the same ratio as my comic. if you want the master file for printing or whatever, let me know. I usually work at 450 dpi. if you want something specific size wise, I can usually do that.
filled commissions typically end up on DA http://tolka.deviantart.com/ but not share what you mean by sell it.
and the new world classic updates would be on Fridays only. Monday updates would still be spiderwebs.
ooh love the deviantart page. I do think you should connect the characters of your previous work with spider webs if only as a cameo just to verify it as the same universe.
Thanks. I don’t mine the comic ratio, I just wanted the best quality, uncompressed image for future proofing (never know why you might need it, just thinking ahead) as long as its not to must trouble.
What I meant by “sell it” was that after you finished a commission for some one that requested it. You can then resell it to more people. Meaning you can make more than $5 off of that one commission. But I believe that you can order prints off deviantart of someone’s art.

Personally, I don’t think you should go back to the “New World” comic at all. The plot kinda fell into a bottomless hole a long time ago. I think alot of people would like for the “Spider Webs” comic to be updated twice a week. Besides, if you start updating the “New World” comic on fridays, then not only will people have to switch between reading two comics clumped together, but everyone will have to go to the very beginning and read the entire archive (of, honestly, not your best work) to get up to speed.
I know, that’s why I’m unsure about it.

how you left what hanging? the Fox girl/guy lives out the rest of his/her life with dis associative Identity disorder and cloak girl lives out the rest of her life as the humanoid daughter of an annoying but lovable immortal sugar daddy. I’ve seen cartoons and movies with less closure. Case in point, the first Chipmunks movie… so in that sense New worlds is like the first chipmunk movie while Spider webs is the Squeakuel.

I really, really liked the basis and the characters of the futuristic half of New World. Nicoli was the best character ever, Harry was consistently amusing, and Amanda’s plight appealed to me in a way I cannot explain. Her story was what kept me interested in the comic even when it was updating once a month or less.
The medieval half never appealed to me at all, though. The characters were just a lot less engaging, I think. Rouge was interesting but didn’t show up very often. Ask me to describe the personality of any of the other characters, even Tokala, and I’d just give you a blank stare. Plus the “furry world” scenario never appealed to me – I don’t dislike furry characters, but when you create a world where they’re commonplace then the appeal is lost to me.
That said, Spider Webs is certainly turning into a higher quality comic than New World ever was. New World simply appeals to me, and probably to most of the other people who ask for it, because I’ve already read several hundred pages of it and it annoys me that I cannot read it to the finish. If I had not started reading here when New World was being updated, I would prefer you to stick with Spider Webs.
I could always resolve this democratically…. by blatantly stealing the donation war format from dmfa. and have people state which Friday update they would prefer with there donation / commission and the one with the highest total is the one that I do.

I do however agree that the Nicoli – amanda storyline was a lot stronger then the fox tribe storyline.
I do still have ideas for new world. and if I did continue it, there would be some changes and possibly some retcon going on to clean the plot up, and make it more interesting. the only issue is, yes, that giant archive of my early experiments and attempts to go through.
if I did, the focus would be on bringing it to a proper and complete close. aproxametly 4 or 5 chapters.
With regards to DMFA amber updates two storylines consecutively. That is to say we get updates for to comic arcs each week.

Personally I think It’s easier just to tie the two universes together with one story and then let sleeping dogs lie.

……I’ve always meant to ask, why are the archives not separated? It’s too easy for someone to look at a couple of recent pages, then go back to the beginning of the archives and read the New World comic, without even realizing that it’s different from the current Spiderwebs comic. This is what happened to me, and it totally confused me unitl I looked on the forums and figured it out. At first, I though the video camera was somehow the journal at the end of New World!

i agree – i actually liked the medieval a bit, and wanted to know where it was going to go – but, at the same time… those two were really a lot more fun, in new world.
But, at the same time, i think if you went back with everything you’ve learned since, there’s no telling WHAT you could do with it. it had a good base.
what is this mid-evil bit everyone is talking about? is it the parallel dimension Nicoli came from, because i figured out a way to tie the two stories together… a portal to a parallel dimension. It wouldn’t even take much work a simple cosmic whoops involving Tix, or Spooks in their first dabbling with magic and voilah instant storybook connection. You wouldn’t even have to fix the archives a single panel with “who the Heck are you?” followed through with a food court exposition explaining what happened and that it was no big deal afterwards would be enough to tie the two stories together.

Gabriel. it wouldn’t work. the whole multidimensional nature of New World says, yes it could, in a technical sense.
but all it would do is add two characters to spiderwebs in a forced way. more importantly two characters who not only are not intended to be there, but ones that directly conflict with the point of spiderwebs.
The donation war format seems a great idea. I liked new worlds and I’m sure I could spare few bucks to donate on that. Did you count to wait until you finished to raise your fund for your new cintiq before do it or it will become part of your tricks to fund it?
