I just want to let you know I am well aware of the problems that Internet Explorer has with the site currently and I am making effort to repair these problems, however I ask for patience since getting the site to work with IE while not breaking it for ‘everyone’ else is a real chore. Hopefully you will see all everything fixed within the next week. I am aiming for IE-7 however it is possible that not everything will work correctly (since I know of at least 2 things that I cannot fix in IE).

Everyone why not just install Firefox or another browser like Chrome.
Internet Explore is like the worst browser ever.
Unfortunately, I cannot just say ‘to bad for all you IE people, get a better browser’ (in fact I had a lengthy discussion about it with Tolka). As it stands IE 7 and IE 8 make up the largest amount of traffic for us so we need to make efforts to supply the best experience possible for those people.
I personally use Opera myself, and I had often in the past (before firefox got up to its current standards) got complaints about content not working correctly in it. However currently the two look about identical when I design it in opera as I normally do. In fact this time I had to fix things for FF because it supported PNG color correction (which caused the site to look wrong in it, since no other browser really does).
This is not about IE, but I just wanted to say nice Layout to Chase-san on the latest thread. BTW, would it be possible to make the arrow keys act as back and next on this site. It is a feature I like that many manga reading sites like onemanga.com have, that make manga viewing a pleasure.
I actually do not know how to do that, probably javascript or something..
When it comes to making sites and compatibility with IE, I just go for ‘ok, the page works in IE6, it isnt pretty, but it works, good enough’
I’m not trying to be mean to IE users, its just, I find it not worth the time to go about doing all of these little tweaks, tricks, hacks, and stuff just to get IE to view a page correctly while no other browser has the same problem…
I just make the sites so they are atleast viewable, if the transparent images arent being transparent in IE, I just ignore it
Anyway the request that vip had, yes that kind of thing done in javascript, its relatively simple thing to do
Well I stopped using JS years ago when I learned php. Client side scripting I never found to be a real ‘solution’.
I most cases it often caused more problems then it solved. (at that time anyway)
As for the arrow keys, after talking it over, decided its probably best not to add it just yet. It is interesting true, but its not a normal feature for other people and suddenly tapping left or right and the page changing for no reason might confuse more people then it would help (in my opinion).
Hrm, interesting bit of info here…
